no way to remove TV view / recording functions

Bug Description
I only want a myth box for video / music / photos / games / streaming / weather / etc, not for TV -- everything else can be added or removed by plugin, but the "watch TV", "schedule recordings" etc can only be hidden by editing the xml files

xml files are indeed the only way to do this. It would be a non-trivial code change, and upstream doesn't request tickets without patches/source code. If anyone develops a patch to allow for this, please feel free to open a ticket upstream (or if you are more comfortable, re-open this one and we can forward it upstream).
