Bug Description
With the additional kubuntu-desktop installation on top of an Ubuntu installation, the Gnome desktop is taken over by KDE.
Removing the gtk2-engines-gtk-qt package "solves" this problem, but it's maybe not an option for installations where both desktops are installed (schools, labs, etc)
some "minor" issues are:
- splash screen is the KDE one
- icons in Places (i.e computer) are the KDE ones.
