Bug Description

Binary package hint: specto

It's impossible to install specto in Karmic because karmic lacks some dependencies. Can someone please figure out what happened to it and if the depends in specto needs to be changed.

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
specto: Depends: python-gnome2-extras but it is not going to be installed
E: Broken packages

Well that particular dependency has been there forever, so I'm not sure what would be problematic. The only stuff that changed recently is that you need python-numpy. All the dependencies I know of are listed on http://specto.sourceforge.net/?go=download

But python-gnome2-extras refusing to install? Just sounds like a karmic repository problem to me so far. As far as I know this happens quite often with development ubuntu releases.
