Bug Description
Binary package hint: dpkg
I currently get an error message "dpkg-source: error: cannot represent change to blab.png: binary file contents changed" when attemting to build a debian package. It does not give any hint why it complains. At minimum it should tell what change it means - the current error message does not help any bit.

It means that the binary file changed at all. Source format 1.0 can't deal with this. Source format 3.0 is better, and has specific options to control behaviour here; please see the dpkg-source manual page, assuming you're running karmic or newer.
I'm leaving this bug open for the terse error message, though.
