I can still connect via ssh after resuming attached dmesg output with a backtrace

I see the same behaviour on my Thinkpad X200, too. After resume from suspend (to disk or to RAM), the screen stays black (the backlight is on).

I updated my system to 2.6.31-rc1 (note: not the 2.6.31-1.13 just uploaded to karmic, since that crashes on boot on X200, see bug #392709 -- I pulled the upstream tree up to commit 4075ea8c and built it myself) and I was able to suspend/resume from within an X session and not have it freeze on my Lenovo ThinkPad X200 with GM45. So this may be fixed by the new upstream kernel.

Note that the suspend/resume fixes were commited _after_ 2.6.31-rc1 in linus' tree, so 2.6.31-2.14 will be the first one with the fixes.

I just supended to RAM and resumed without problems, using xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.7.99.1+git20090602.ec2fde7c-0ubuntu4 . Does it work again for you, too?

Hmm, on the next resume, the machine froze again. So this problem seems not to appear every time :(

According to comment 5, this should be fixed now since we're up to kernel 2.6.31.2.13. Feel free to reopen with additional detail if it's still a problem.
