Mimetype problem in firefox

Bug Description
It appeares to me that firefox has problems reading the MIME type of things; for now ive discovered this problem at
youtube: the video wont load; the place where the video should be is black; right klicking on it, it says: video not loaded
i need to reload the page 5 to 20 times to finally get it loaded (and then it works just normally)
gnome-look.org: whatever you want to download from there, you klick on download, and then you got that page where it says: If the download does not start in 3 seconds: Click here (example: http://
-after that 3 seconds one should get a promt @ saving that file on the computer; mine often just displayes the BIN file instead. But when i right klick on Click here and save the target manually, afterward i DO get that promt to save it on my comp...
As far as i can remember this started 1-2 months ago after an automatic update with update manager which included some firefox updates also. (im using ubuntu jaunty, system is up-to-date btw)
