Bug Description
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
The codec search dialog pops-up during a 'refresh' of the watched directories even if previously 'seen' by rhythmbox. It is possible to crash rhythmbox if the main GUI is closed before the user dismisses the codec prompt.
A possible solution could be to save the list of problematic files be saved to the users home directory and if found later on re-scanning (say, when RB starts), the file is ignored if the user last ignored the file. An optional 'clean known problematic files cache' could be added or even cleared when a manual 're-scan' occurs.
