url-handle doesn't work with irc://

when i click a url e.g <a href="irc://irc.freenode.org/#bradford-lug">irc://irc.freenode.org/#bradford-lug</a>
pidgin url-handle nothing happens

if pidgin is not running it doesn't open with thr url

nothing happened!

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test a current, supported, Ubuntu version.
