Bug Description

Binary package hint: uswsusp

When my ipod is plugged into the computer, resume from s2disk fails. It appears as if it is working fine, decompresses the codepages and gives the usual messages, but simply freezes at the last message, never returning to the desktop, and attempts to switch to a different tty, etc, are unresponsive. The machine must be hard rebooted, and the hibdernated state is lost.

Ensuring that the ipod is not plugged in during resume always allows it to resume correctly.

The machine is an IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad T43 with intel gma915 video (type 1871), and an orginal 2Gb iPod nano(A1137). s2disk is called through gnome power manager, via editing the /etc/pm/config.d/00sleep_module file to use uswsusp instead of kernel method.

Release is 9.04, kernel version 2.6.28-13-generic #44-Ubuntu SMP, s2disk v 0.8
