Can you comment if this is still an issue for you? Were you trying to update from Hardy to Jaunty? I notice the following in your DpkgTerminalLog.txt file:
Setting up linux-generic (2.6.28.11.15) ... 2.6.28- 11 (--configure): headers- 2.6.28- 11' is installed, cannot configure 2.6.28- 11-generic: headers- 2.6.28- 11-generic depends on linux-headers- 2.6.28- 11; however: 2.6.28- 11 is not installed. 2.6.28- 11-generic (--configure):
