Bug Description

Under "System/Preferences/Main Menu", if "Root Terminal" is checked it will appear.
But when clicked on, it will not run in officiale release of Jaunty Jackalope v9.04, and it crashes.
In the normal User Terminal, a "sudo -s" command will work without problem.

Confirmed in 9.04 - This was a letdown to learn one of the features I use (also added open root terminal here, to context menu) they both fail and make it impossible to directly open a root terminal.

This shameful bug was reported almost as soon as jaunty came out, and still persists.
Also, try to use gnome-schedule under jaunty and be flabbergasted.

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. Unfortunately a paper cut should be a small usability issue that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. I'm afraid this bug can't be addressed as part of this project.

This is not a problem faced by an average user, Hence Not a papercut...
This menu item is not exposed by default. Further this needs more attention and is a bug in gconf / d-bus , for which there is no easy fix.
A paper cut is a minor usability annoyance that an average user would encounter on his/her first day of using a new installation of Ubuntu 9.10.

For further info about papercuts criteria , pls read > https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PaperCut
