i have experienced the same problem. You see, if you have a SD/MS or other card reader, wubi attempts to get the free space of those drives, since they still show up in My Computer. To fix the problem, go to "Safely Remove Hardware" and eject the reader.

lol I guess I misunderstood the meaning of "in progress"; after reading the page at https://help.launchpad.net/Bugs/Statuses

It would be nice if they'd document that in the installer.

if this can help: i got the problem with wubi to install 9.10.
Looks like the problem started after auto upgrade to xpSP3. I never had a problem with 8.04 - 8.10 and 9.04 before.
After sp3 I can only install 8.04 while 9.04 and 9.10 fail (can't say anymore for 8.10)
thanks

I'm wondering if this is the issue I was getting on my netbook ago.

Basically xp sp3 I think install a second boot loader the first one simply points to the second but I think it was designed to improve upgrade paths.

Can some one with this issue confirm that if they select windows on the first screen if they then get put into a second bootloader listing windows and wubi again please. At that point if you click on the wubi does it work as expected?
