Bug Description

Whenever watching any streaming flash movie in full screen, increasing/decreasing the volume will cause Flash to exit full screen mode. I've been told that this is a Flash player bug, but I think that this is false, especially since other system notifications (eg. Pidgin buddy notifications) work correctly when a fullscreen flash video is playing.

summary: System volume up/down notifications exit full screen flash, whereas
- other systen notifications do not.
+ other system notifications do not.

Yeah it's a real problem. I often use the up/down volume touch and it's really annoying to have to redo a full screen. I wanted to report this bug to. Thank you to report it. I hope a correction to this bug quickly.

This is a Flash bug. It also occurs when you press any media key on your keyboard. And we can't fix it in Flash since it's a proprietary application. The best would be to report it to Adobe, ifever they care.

As it's far from being a trivial bug, i'm also removing it from A Hundred Paper Cuts.

This is not a bug in notify-osd, but really in Adobe's flash-player. For some reason the flash-player interprets the multi-media keys for volume-up/down as Esc-keys too. Apps like totem e.g. don't leave their fullscreen-state if you hit these multi-media-keys (thus triggering notifications displayed via notify-osd). I'll try to escalate that towards Adobe.
