Bug Description

Binary package hint: miro

This is a clean install of today's Karmic Koala and miro is failing to start.

it segfaults with this message:

/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/miro/eventloop.py:179: DeprecationWarning: socket.ssl() is deprecated. Use ssl.wrap_socket() instead.

Segmentation fault

$apt-cache policy miro

I've tried every possible install/reinstall scenario and every single fix that I could find - nothing helped.

Then I simply renamed ~/.miro to ~/.miro-backup and the program launched just fine. So I have copied sqlitedb from backup to working dir and it works just fine.

Hi Herbert, sorry your having trouble, but for useful bug reports to improve miro we need a full backtrace with symbols.
