Bug Description

Im starting up seq24 and creating a new pattern.
Seq24 craches and I get the following message:
*** buffer overflow detected ***: seq24 terminated

Not that I know if it have anything to do with it, but when starting up, I get this message:
Error Reading [/home/emas/.seq24usr]

So I figured that I may have to create that file. The error sure dissapears, but the program still craches.

I have attached the backtrace to this report.

I'm experiencing the same thing in Jaunty (Ubuntu Studio).
I remember this was not the case before, but I cannot say when it changed.
I think there must have been an update to the system, which introduced this bug.
I will also attach a backtrace.

Sorry, forgot to tell you I only have this bug only in version 0.8.7, not in 0.9.0.
But I think most people still use this version from the repositories.
This bug renders seq24 completely useless, so it might be an important one to fix...
