Bug Description

I'm using the "Ubuntu Internet Gateway Method (iptables)" method on the page:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Internet/ConnectionSharing

It works, but Firefox (3.0.11) becomes sluggish. Menus, combo-boxes, file dialogs etc. are now delayed and lagged for seconds. Disabling all extensions/add-ons doesn't help at all.

Other softwares like Thunar are still as fast as before.

Is this crash reproducible? If so, which are the steps that lead to it?
Which flash package do you have installed?
Which Java package do you have installed?
Which Firefox extensions do you have installed?

This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.

I'd like to help you track down this problem, but I can't reproduce it or answer your questions right now as I have got transfered and no longer been working with the same hardware, software & network environments in question 6 months before, and I don't recall what packages/extensions I was using with Firefox then. However, if I recall correctly, I was using Firefox out-of-the-box, probably with only the latest Adblock Plus and ChatZilla installed by hand. Anyway, I must have tested with all extensions disabled and still had slow Firefox.

If I reproduce this problem someday (maybe in July or sooner when I get back to my old desktop), I'll feed the requested info to you. Thank you for replying me and I'm sorry for being unable to do help with this bug better .
