Screen flickers on the right side with visual effects enabled

With radeon drivers and KDE4 visual effects enabled the screen flickers only on the right side of the screen. If I disable the effects the issue disappear. I have an ATI X1400.

I tried now Ubuntu 9.04 to see if effectively the problem was the radeon drivers, and it seems that, except some tearing sometimes, the compositing works well, so I think that the problem comes from KDE4 visual effects. I change the package as well.

Errata corrige. The problem is also with radeon, because this problem affects also compiz, but it's less visible than Kwin.

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log (and maybe Xorg.0.log.old) file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.

Sorry, I forgot to modify the report. I reported the bug on freedesktop and the issue is already solved in the experimental radeon driver packages.
