Bug Description

Binary package hint: bluez-gnome

Hello!
I am currently using both Jaunty and Karmic Alpha 2 but I have this issue since the Intrepid's big bluetooth stack change.
The visibility setting for my notebook's bluetooth adapter is set to "always visible", but when I try to send files from my phone (Nokia 6300) it can't find my notebook.
The devices are paired and I can browse the files on the device which I used as a workaround for this problem.
If I install obexpushd package and then type "obexpushd -B" in the terminal, the phone discovers the notebook and I can send the file.

Bluetooth is working fine in Vista and I remember this worked fine in Ubuntu before.
If I replace bluez-gnome with blueman (in Jaunty) from this ppa https://launchpad.net/~blueman/+archive/ppa then everything works, so this is not a hardware problem.
I updated bluez package from that ppa too, but bluez-gnome still had this issue so I replaced it with blueman for now.

Hello.

In karmic bluez-gnome is replaced by gnome-bluetooth which doesn't provide Obexpush functionnality, you need to install gnome-user-share.

Changed in bluez-gnome (Ubuntu):
