Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

Short description: Gnome Power Manager shuts down the system automatically if the first battery reaches the critical discharging level, independently from the charging state of the second battery.

Long description:
OS: Ubuntu 9.04
HW: HP 6910p laptop with a secondary battery
Package: gnome-power-manager-2.24.2-ubuntu8

The Gnome Power Manager application can identify the two batteries attached to the laptop and can display the charging level for them, separately. Although there is a minor issue with the predicted battery life-time, namely it is calculated based on the first battery, the second battery is ignored.
When the first battery is reaching the critical discharing level then the Gnome Power Manager application is starting a system shut down ignoring the chargning state of the second battery (even if the laptop would be working with that).

Expected behavior:
Battery life time is calculated based on charging levels of all attached batteries and the automatic shut down starts when this common value reaches the critical level.
