Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-nettool
I have an Acer Aspire 3610.
The wireless was working on Ubuntu 8.10 but after installing 9.04 it is only inactive even though it is marked to start automatic.
ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/
Package: gnome-nettool 2.26.1-0ubuntu1
ProcEnviron:
LANG=da_DK.UTF-8
SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: gnome-nettool
Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic i686
I do not exact know why it is now working.
I got the idea to start su from a terminal.
After this I went around in the network setting and hardware drivers. In the hardwaredriver menu it suddenly found a broadcom B43 driver which I could start as su , and suddenly it worked.
I did also install a windows driver program but it could not see the hardware so I do not think it had helped to download the windows driver fro Acer.
But never the less now it is working. :-)

Thanks for the report but that's not a gnome-nettool issue the bug needs to be reassigned. probably to linux.
