Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs

My video card is a series 1600 Radeon from ATI and it will not install with any of the files from ATI for (Legacy?) cards. I keep getting Error: /default_policy.sh does not support version
default:v2:i686:lib:none:2.6.28-11-generic; make sure that the version is being correctly set by -iscurrentdistro
Can you help as I would like to get decent video on the computer.
Thank you.

If you are installing files from ATI we can not help you. Your card is supported by the free xserver-xorg-video-ati driver in Ubuntu 9.04. As an alternative you can use the System->Administration->Hardware Manager to install the proprietary fglrx driver.
