Bug Description
Konsole4 has been "released" in an unfinished state with some rather annoying bugs (152385), and developer Robert Knight has stated that he currently lacks the time to address these issues. Konsole now seems to be the only major KDE4 showstopper left.
People have said that the old konsole from KDE3 runs fine on KDE4, but you have to compile it yourself.
Would it be possible, for the convenience of the users, to optionally include konsole3 in universe (or even better: make it standard, and make the "new" konsole4 optional?)

Konsole3 is unmaintained, and cannot come back to the repo as per Ubuntu policy. Just because a low-priority pet-peeve bug hasn't been fixed does not mean that konsole4 is unmaintained, either. As you can see from this log, development is quite active: http:// websvn. kde.org/ trunk/KDE/ kdebase/ apps/konsole/ src/?view= log In the last month several bugs have been fixed.
So, no. This is not going to happen.
