Empathy tasklist entry can't be restored

Bug Description
Binary package hint: compiz, empathy
Step to reproduce:
- open empathy
- click on the X to close the window
- make the window respawn by clicking on the status icon
- note that the taskbar entry of the main empathy window is gone.
Currently this happens only when compiz is active and not when metacity is.
I have a workaroud for empathy, but this currently belongs to compiz.

This patch was rejected upstream in favour for a fix in metacity, but really in metacity it works, it's only in compiz that doesn't.
If we need to switch to empathy by default, fixing this problem is a priority
