Bug Description

Binary package hint: aufs-source

When i try to compile the aufs module for the current ubuntu 9.10 kernel (linux-image-2.6.30-5-generic2.6.30-5.6)

I get the following error/output

  CC [M] /usr/src/modules/aufs/vfsub.o
/usr/src/modules/aufs/vfsub.c: In function ‘vfsub__lookup_hash’:
/usr/src/modules/aufs/vfsub.c:99: error: implicit declaration of function ‘__lookup_hash’
/usr/src/modules/aufs/vfsub.c:99: warning: assignment makes pointer from integer without a cast
/usr/src/modules/aufs/vfsub.c:349:2: warning: #warning Activated the splice hack
make[1]: *** [/usr/src/modules/aufs/vfsub.o] Error 1
make: *** [_module_/usr/src/modules/aufs] Error 2
make: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.30-5-generic'

This is with the aufs-source 0+20090302-2 and gcc version 4.4.0 (Ubuntu 4.4.0-5ubuntu1)

Should be removed from Ubuntu karmic, source and binary. This version basically is from January, and not supported anymore upstream. Aufs2 should work, but is more complicated to package and requires more kernel patches.
