Bug Description

I'm using Kubuntu Karmic 64bit and after the last upgrade (yesterday, 7th june) xserver can't start, so after the boot I got a console login; startx fails since it can't find a video adapter (or similar).

The last xserver-xorg-video-radeon installed has version 6.12.2-2ubuntu1.

I have temporary solved downgrading it (and xserver-xorg-video-ati) to version 6.12.1-0ubuntu2 (from jaunty repo).

Attached are some log files.

I forgot to mention two things:

*my graphic adapter is a Sapphire Radeon 4850 1GB

*my xorg.conf is empty (as after a fresh installation)
