Bug Description
Binary package hint: brasero
I was using Linux Mint 6, and Brasero worked fine. I then changed to Ubuntu 9.4 and Brasero was unable to burn a disk. I then changed to Linux Mint 7 and Brasero was still unable to burn a disk. So it seems to me that Ubuntu and Linux Mint are both getting worse, and not better!

UnreportableReason: This is not a genuine LinuxMint package

Your report does not contain a hint to the problem you observe.
For this reason, it is not possible to give help based on your
report.
However, many problems in brasero these days are a result
of not using the original cdrtools software but a fork called
"wodim" / "cdrkit". I recommend you to manually remove
wodim, genisoimage and any related file and symlink and then
to install the official software from:
ftp://ftp. berlios. de/pub/ cdrecord/ alpha/
see http:// cdrecord. berlios. de
This fixes all problems caused by the fork.
