Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.28-11-generic

On the January 2009 model of the Mac Pro, the onboard NICs are not detected using 2.6.28-11-generic on Jaunty 9.04 64-bit.

Basically, the device ID needs to be mapped to the correct driver. I found this patch (applied to 2.6.30) which resolves the problem: http://kerneltrap.org/mailarchive/linux-netdev/2009/3/25/5235664s

I'm attaching a patch which resolves this issue for me.

Hi Guys,

This actually a duplicate of bug 352414. Please refer to that bug for why this will not qualify for a Stable Release Update to Jaunty. This should not be an issue for the latest Karmic kernel if you wanted to run that. Thanks.
