pairing a device is limited to only a 4 digit PIN

Bug Description

Binary package hint: bluez

I am attempting to pair to a device with for serial port access. The device documentation says that the device PIN is 8 digits, but bluez add a device wizard will only accept a 4 digit custom PIN codes. According to Wikipedia device pin codes can be up to 16 digits http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth#Pairing.
