Add a jQuery snippet to strip spaces on login form

Per discussion with Chris in chat, we need to land a handler that strips spaces before posting.

Do this in a temporary fashion (e.g. don't put it in the main JS) as we plan to remove this later. Put in a comment (perhaps an XXX) that says so.

We'll need this tomorrow, I believe.
