I have recently upgraded to Jaunty , during the upgrade I got an error that flashplugin-nonfree is in bad consistent and needs to b reinstalled or removed ( funny I can't do either !)
so now I cant install anything unless I fix that problem.

we do not support upgrades when you upgrade by skipping releases. This is the reason for bug.
