Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

I would assume it's a Firefox issue but I don't know. Open livescience.com and in the comments try to use the next page or last page links. In Win2000 using IE6 they work correct but in ubuntu 9.04 with Firefox 3 they are dead links. On the same website the page works ok in their forum but the return after making a post sometimes it works and sometimes not but that may be a site issue (I don't know but it works in windows ok).

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
Package: firefox-3.0 3.0.10+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.04.1
ProcEnviron:
 LANG=en_US.UTF-8
 SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: firefox-3.0
Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic i686

Thank you for reporting this issue to Ubuntu. Could it be that your Ad Block Plus extension is blocking it? They are JavaScript links. Can you try disabling that extension to see if that solves your problem? The links work fine for me in Firefox 3.0 and Firefox 3.5.

Sorry. I found out it's not a bug. Firefox in both windows and linux
will not read the links on livescience.com due to ABP addon. By
allowing adds it solves the problem. I guess there is no way for the
ad blocker to distinguish certain javascript used for navigation.

I found this from a conservation with another Firefox user running
windows.

Thank you. Could you please try with the latest version of Adblock Plus to see if this is still an issue?

I am using version 1.0.2 which is current of ABP.
