Auto-translation via Google Translate

I'm switching over my project's translation from a control panel built into the project itself and 'language packs', to collaboratively via Launchpad. I used to have a nice little "automatic translation" feature that translated via Google Translate. It's obviously not perfect, but it gave people a leg up so they could concentrate on fixing errors instead of manually doing everything.
Could such a feature be implemented on Launchpad?

At the moment, this is best implemented through browser plug-ins like greasemonkey scripts. We do want to support something like this in the future (not sure whether we want to depend on Google Translate, though), but we'd have to take care of the UI, and we have immediate plans to change the UI significantly, so it's not worth starting on this right away.

Note that Launchpad is written in Python using Zope platform, but is open source so any contributions are welcome.

I said about greasemonkey scripts? It's not bad too, but where can i find these scripts configured for "launchpad<---->google translate" ?

You'd have to write them yourself. They do not exist yet (at least not that I know of).

We've done it for the DDTP using Google Translator Kit and a mock project.
