Bug Description

Binary package hint: debianutils

# Disclaimer

NB: This may be considered a bug in vim-full packaging rather than select-editor

# Abstract

select-editor is non-intuitive when it comes to selecting the full version of console-based vim

# Description

select-editor offers output based on `update-alternatives --list editor`.

When both vim-tiny and vim-full are installed this displays the entries /usr/bin/vim.tiny and /usr/bin/vim.gnome

However, as a user, I immediately (and incorrectly) assume that vim.gnome would be for the gtk version of vim, and vim.tiny for the (crippled) version of console vim. What I expect to see here is simply /usr/bin/vim or perhaps the /etc/alternatives/vim symlink, which I would expect to invoke the full version of console-based vim.
