Bug Description

Binary package hint: bluez

I'm trying to install bluez-utils_3.26-0ubuntu6_amd64.deb and related 3.x libraries in place of the 4.x libraries because they don't currently support my Linksys Bluetooth adaptor. I got all the 3.x libraries installed and working properly, and now my Bluetooth adaptor works again!

My problem is that there is an error whenever trying to configure bluez-utils_3.26. I can ignore this error and everything works fine. But it is really annoying because I keep seeing the "package bluez-utils 3.26-0ubuntu6 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 127" error every time I install a new package. Can an updated 3.x package be released for Intrepid (ubuntu 9.0.4)? Or can I make some setting to this message is always automatically ignored?

The long term fix is to get a version of bluez 4.x that works with my adaptor, but that is not available yet.

Thanks,
Geoff
