formatting lost on opening document in v3.1.0

I'm using Ubuntu v 8.10 on two different computers, on each of which I had installed the Scribblers version of v 3.0.1 of OO.o.

I created a WP document in .doc format on one of those computers, using v 3.0.1. I had no difficulty working on the document on either computer.

I upgraded to the Scribblers version of v 3.1.0 on both computers.

Now, when I open the document on either computer, some indented paragraphs in the document do not appear indented and using the increase indent button has no effect on those paragraphs.

However, when I create a new document in v 3.1.0, the indent function seems to work as normal.

I can upload the document, if wanted.
