Bug Description
Hello,
a Debian user reported the following bug against 1.5.9, which I'll ask him to triage when 1.6 comes out:
"It seems that when you turn off any previously existing hardware (I had my ethernet card turned off for power
saving), wicd is unable to pick this up and still tries to get it's state."
Obviously, this happens if you turn off any device while wicd-daemon is running already.
You can read more (including a daemon log) in the original bugreport: http://
Kindly,
David

I wonder if this might be similar to another bug report (I'm not finding it at the moment) where a user reported that wicd doesn't "know about" an interface if the laptop's kill switch has the interface off on boot, but the switch is later turned on (thus enabling the interface)...
