Wombat fails to display readable error messages in developer mode

Bug Description

In developer mode, all errors trigger a server failure. However, instead of a useful error message with traceback and all, the only thing to see is a yellow and black background on an empty html page.

Can you include an URL to an example error. I'd like to know if this is just CSS related or not.

I can't trigger it on wombat.worldforge.org as that runs in release mode. I assume I was a bit too proactive to delete stuff in the plug-in setup file when I migrated to Pylons 0.9.7. I'll have to compare my version with a from scratch pylons site.
