Bug Description

I've seen in Songbird the option to import playcount for tracks from last.fm which works fine.
I have no programming skills so I don't have any idea how You could implement this, but I guess that adding this small feature could make exaile a tad more popular with the last.fm users.

Another thing now I'm at it, I lost my complete playcount record while upgrading/downgrading exaile. It's not a big deal but it can be frustrating for ppl who pay attention to it. Implementing the afore mentioned feature would take care of this problem as well.

Thanx for Your time!

should be fairly simple to do as a plugin, just requires mapping the right last.fm api calls.

The API call in question is track.getInfo (http://www.last.fm/api/show/track.getInfo) and the "userplaycount" part if given a username.

The question is: should this really overwrite our internal playcount tag or should it be added as a separate entity? For the former, a import dialog is required, for the latter a custom playlist column could do. See the Last.fm Loved Tracks plugin for an integration example.
