Bug Description

Binary package hint: specter

 specter (1.4-4) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   * QA upload.
   * 03_limits_h.dpatch - Add limits.h for PATH_MAX. (Closes: #527532).
     + Thanks to Peter Green for the fix.
   * debian/specter.init.d - Don't fail when already running or stopped.
     + Thanks to Rémi Laurent for the patch. (Closes: #528669).
   * Add watch file.
   * Bump debhelper build-dep and compat to 5.
   * Bump Standards Version to 3.8.1. (No changes needed).

Heya!

It looks like it's not there... though I found it here:

http://packages.debian.net/search?keywords=specter&searchon=names&suite=sid&section=all

So it seems to be in [debports]? Why is that and what should be done with it?

Specter has been removed from Debian (RoQA, orphaned). See http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=463451
