Mattias - why the Daily live CD? I run an up-to-date feisty install which now has OOo version openoffice.org 2.2.0-0ubuntu2 and I still have exactly the same bug.

This is not fixed. I'm on an up-to-date Ubuntu 7.04 here and hovered buttons still don't fade back, see attachment.

Which specific version of openoffice.org is installed? You can check with 'dpkg -l openoffice.org'. I was unable to reproduce the hovered buttons effect using openoffice.org version 2.2.0-1ubuntu3. Additionally, is this in the Gnome desktop environment or KDE?

This bug is not related to OpenOffice.

It is a problem of "gtk2-engines-ubuntulooks".

I have attached a video that shows a toolbox were everything looks okay.
In this example I have used the clearlooks engine from gnome 2.19.92.
So this bug is in the wrong place.

best wishes
Achim

why do you think it's an ubuntulooks bug? It doesn't happen with other applications but it other themes also have the issue

Achim (ach1m) wrote :

I mean this problem depends on the theme that is used, so I think it is related to ubuntulooks.

As Juan Pablo Salazar Bertín wrote (two posts above) there are only two themes that have that problem.

As you can see in the "clearlooks.ogg", that is in the Bug attachments, there are no visual problems.

I hope there is a way to solve this problem before gutsy is final.
This problem is very irritating for the use of OpenOffice.
I have attached a sample video to show the problem with ubuntulooks.

best wishes
Achim
