Bug Description

Ubuntuite is a term that is not used in the general Ubuntu community. However, Ubuntu members are. Therefor we should follow that convention.

Dude! Ubuntite (or "ubuntero" as the new phrase is) refers to a person who has signed the code of conduct.

Yes, I know that and you know that, but does a random visitor know?

If LP is to grow beyond the Ubuntu community, it must be seen that Ubuntu is an equal. As such, I would remove the line altogether and simply have Ubuntu Member listed amongst the other groups.

There's a technical problem with that: being an Ubuntero is actually different from being in a group. In the long run we could change the CoC-signing-process to be less Ubuntu-centric.

In the short term, I'd appreciate a UI change, but not one which would confuse the end-user (i.e. listing Ubuntero as an item in the list of groups isn't a good solution because it /isn't/ a group). Do you have a suggestion?

Temporary solution, not perfect but it can help at least:

Change "Ubuntite" to:

<span title='person who have signed the CoC' class='weird_word'>Ubuntite</span>

and make the class 'weird_word' (or a better name, I don't feel inspired today):

  span.weird_word { border-bottom: 1px dotted black; cursor: help; }

to look like acronym or abbr with title.

We'll add an explanation as part of bug 5317. I'm going to close this bug because it contains an erroneous suggestion (Ubuntu Member is something different from Ubuntero).
