Bug Description

Binary package hint: libdcmtk1-dev

ubuntu 8.04.2, x86 and x86_64, kernel 2.6.24-24-generic

Hi,

the jpeg library version used to build this package (libdcmtk1-dev ond so also libdcmtk1) is NOT libjpeg62-dev (witch is the libjpeg version of 8.04 LTS).
So when you want to link a software you've just coded (using this DCMTK lib) and compiled ... it fails in the ld step on every jpeg function call.

uninstall of libdcmtk1 package and recompilation of last dcmtk source code from master dcmtk web site fix this bug
( ./configure --prefix /usr ; make all ; sudo make install-all ).

also, libdcmtk1-dev package doesn't include dependencies for libpng libtiff and libjpeg.

Sorry but I don't know how to build a new package with the good dcmtk and jpeg libs.
Sorry also for my bad English.

best regards,

Samuel
