Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

When executing GNU Xnee under

name of display: :0.0
version number: 11.0
vendor string: The X.Org Foundation
vendor release number: 10402000
X.Org version: 1.4.2

everything is OK. …. but when I run the same program under

name of display: :0.0
version number: 11.0
vendor string: The X.Org Foundation
vendor release number: 10600000
X.Org version: 1.6.0

the program crashes. Seems as if there something strange going on in XRecordEnableContextAsync in the latest X.org release.

Hi hesa,

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log (and maybe Xorg.0.log.old) file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.

well, I am as sure as one can be (whatever that means) that the problem
is not caused by the HW and not by HW. I can reproduce the bug in both
Xvfb and Xephyr. This is imo a malfunctioning Xlib/RECORD extension (*).

However, I am attaching the files you (automatically requested).
xorg.conf is unchanged.
