Bug Description
Binary package hint: compiz-fusion-bcop
I installed this package hoping to use the CUBE desktop aspect of the programme.
Unfortunately Ubuntu became unstable and I eventually got rid of the problem by deleting Compiz - I had lost the top panel of all windows too and could only correct this when I accessed SYSTEM - PREFERENCES - APPEARANCE - VISUAL EFFECTS and selected Extra, as I said following deleting Compiz
The release of Ubuntu on my system is the most recent (Originally I installed 8.10 but I believe the latest which I downloaded was 9.04)
ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
Package: firefox-3.0 3.0.10+
ProcEnviron:
LANG=en_AU.UTF-8
SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: firefox-3.0
Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic i686
It sounds like you may be having a configuration issue. Can you install the compiz package again and see if it continues to cause problems? Installing the 'compiz' package should install the decorator (the top bar on windows) as well so if that doesn't help we'll know it's some kind of configuration problem.
