I experience the problem too, although only the shortcut does not work only the first time I press it, if I press the shortcut twice, it works fine. Usually it happens when I switch from some other application to nautilus and press the shortcut, afterwards, as long as I work with nautilus, everything works perfectly. But after working with some other application again for some time, the issue is likely to occur again.

(Note: this does not apply to CTRL+V only in my situation)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance. Note, I tried to reproduce this bug in Karmic and found no issues.

This was definitely an issue in Jaunty and older, but now that I try it in Karmic it looks like it may have been fixed. Thanks!
