Bug Description

I find the update notifier, at its current state in Dapper, of rare ugliness. 1. The balloon arrow is too small and it is difficult to realize where it points at. 2. A black outline around the balloon is needed, because it is easy to conufe with the background 3. the "postmodern" shape of the balloon is unpleasant, because a part of the balloon overlaps the panel (I keep the tray area on the bottom of the screen)

The behaviour for bottom panels is a bug, we will work on this and see if we can fix it.

If you don't like the current notifications, you may open gconf-editor and edit "apps/notification-daemon/theme" to "standard". This will give you the old recangular theme.
