interchange packages require non-threaded perl

THe interchange e-commerce package set as distributed with ubuntu require "non-threaded perl". Apparently the version of perl distributed with Ubuntu is threaded. According to Interchange installer the two will not work together. running apt-cache search does not reveal a method to change to a non-threaded perl.

Error occurs on install. Not sure how this would be handled unless a non-threaded perl package is built.

What version of Ubuntu and interchange were you using? Is this still an issue?
