Bug Description

(My english is approximative, sorry)

Hi!

I have a problem when the RAM is full. Swap is OK and is being filled.
When I open many app (ie: many openoffice.org windows), Ubuntu is lagging and the swap replace the RAM. No problem for swap, because I have a very large amount of swap.

But, Ubuntu often restarts when many applications are saturating the RAM, not completely the swap !

My config:

Intel Core Duo 2, 2.2 GHz, 2 Gio RAM, 5.9 Gio SWAP (!)
