confusing numbering for midi buses and channels

First of all, I don't have any problems with zero based numbering.
But combinations of zero-based, and one-based numberings can get really confusing.
Now in seq24 (with manual_alsa_ports on):

1. The midi buses of patterns are zero-based (as seen in the pattern box, and in song editor).
2. when you right-click the pattern to select a bus, they are one-based by default.
3. The midi channel on the bus is one-based.

What annoys me the most is the inconsistency between 1 and 2.
