./config.status: line 1054: syntax error at line 2579: `<<' unmatched
at first glance it seems that the problem is with the following:
cat <<_LT_EOF >> "$ofile"
all other occurrences in the configure file put in a back slash
cat << \_LT_EOF >> "$ofile
What is strange is that I can't get this to happen when I run it by hand, only when the buildbot client runs
